Link: This pasta sauce wants to record your family

Prego has introduced a novel device named the Connection Keeper, designed to record dinner table conversations. This device, resembling an oversized pasta jar lid, is part of a collaboration with StoryCorps to archive American stories.

The device is straightforward to use: simply place it at the table's center, press a button, and it starts recording using dual microphones.

Recordings are stored on a 16GB microSD card and can capture up to eight hours of audio, which can be transferred via USB-C to a computer.

Users have the option to upload these recordings to a StoryCorps microsite, where they can remain private or be shared publicly.

Prego aims to encourage family interactions by reducing phone usage at the dinner table. The device intentionally lacks a screen and features to focus attention on conversation.

Priced at $20, the Connection Keeper will go on sale April 27th in a bundle that includes pasta essentials and conversation-starting cards.
