Elon Musk's xAI has released the older AI model, Grok 2.5, to the public on the Hugging Face platform. Musk announced the release on his social media platform, X, predicting that Grok 3 would follow in six months.

AI engineer Tim Kellogg criticized the Grok license for having "anti-competitive terms."

Grok has been surrounded by controversy due to its problematic responses involving conspiracy theories and offensive characterizations.

In response, xAI posted the system prompts used by Grok on GitHub to address the public’s concerns.

Musk has introduced Grok 4 as a "maximally truth-seeking AI."

However, there are reports that Grok 4 checks Musk’s social media for answers to sensitive questions. #
