Despite the decline in its forum activity, Stack Overflow has adapted by monetizing its extensive archive of content. The company has managed to double its annual revenue to $115 million, while significantly reducing losses by cutting costs and laying off staff.

Stack Overflow has shifted from relying on ad revenue to selling enterprise solutions and licensing its data. Its new product, "Stack Internal," leverages historical data to offer AI-enhanced services to over 25,000 companies globally.

CEO Prashanth Chandrasekar pointed out that while simple queries have decreased, complex questions continue to drive traffic to Stack Overflow. The site remains a vital resource for nuanced tech issues that AI cannot fully address.
