Link: Spotify now sells printed books

Spotify is enhancing its audiobook features and enabling users to purchase physical books through its service. U.S. and UK users can buy printed books via a partnership with Bookshop.org on the Android app, and iOS support is coming soon.

CEO Andy Hunter of Bookshop.org supports Spotify’s initiative, noting it enlarges the reading market.

Newly announced features are designed to facilitate seamless transitions between audiobooks and physical books.

Page Match, which synchronizes your reading spot across formats, now supports over 30 languages; a recap feature for audiobooks is also newly available on Android.

Spotify has introduced expanded Audiobook Charts in Germany and a specific chart for children's audiobooks in both the US and UK.

Owen Smith, Spotify’s global head of audiobooks, states that these enhancements aim to integrate reading into modern life, aiding authors and publishers while providing users with a curated book discovery and listening experience. #
