Link: Google Flights can help you book a trip when you don’t know where to go
Google is integrating AI into its services, including a new tool for its airfare-booking service, Flights. The AI-powered Flight Deals tool is designed to help users find budget trips based on their travel preferences.
Users can input the type of trip they desire and specific details like travel duration and activities they want to engage in. Google then uses AI to recommend flights that align with these preferences.
During tests, the tool offered both popular and less-known destination options. For instance, a search for tropical vacations suggested areas like Cozumel and Nassau, along with lesser-known spots such as Cluj-Napoca in Romania.
However, the tool had limitations and failed to find deals for more specific requests, such as trips to Japan during cherry blossom season. It defaults to suggesting flights within the next six months if no specific dates are provided.
Despite occasional inaccuracies, this feature could be helpful for discovering travel ideas within a set budget. Google Flight Deals is currently available in beta for users in the US and Canada.
You can find it on the standalone Flight Deals page, or within the Google Flights interface under the top-left menu. #
