Link: Your Fitbit data can now connect directly to Apple Health
Google's latest update now allows syncing Fitbit data directly to Apple Health. This eliminates the need for third-party apps previously required for this functionality.
The update, labeled as Google Health 5.05, introduces a simple process for linking accounts. Users can just tap their profile icon, navigate to "Partner apps," and select Apple Health.
Previously, integration was one-way, allowing only Apple Health data to import into Google Health. This change offers a more seamless experience for users who utilize both platforms.
Google Health transitioned from the Fitbit app in May, following initial concerns regarding its user interface and a new AI health coach. The issues have been largely addressed according to recent user feedback.
Additionally, Google introduced Smart Health Links for sharing medical records in the US. This feature facilitates secure sharing with healthcare providers or family members via a generated link or QR code.
