Link: Withings thinks of its latest smart scale as a ‘longevity station’

Withings has introduced the Body Scan 2 at CES 2026, priced at $599.95, focusing on cardiovascular and metabolic health with advanced features.

The Body Scan 2 adds a 90-second longevity assessment that tracks over 60 biomarkers across five categories, aiming to provide a detailed health overview.

Antoine Joussain of Withings emphasizes that while the scale tracks extensive data, it simplifies user interaction by providing a Health Trajectory score to visualize expected healthy years.

The scale employs bioimpedance spectroscopy and analyzes foot sweat to assess metabolic health noninvasively, avoiding the need for frequent blood tests.

Despite potential concerns about promoting body dysmorphia, Withings addresses this with an Eyes-Closed Mode, displaying only emojis during weigh-ins while still recording data in the app.

Withings is pursuing new certifications to expedite market availability without compromising on scientific integrity, with expectations to launch the Body Scan 2 by Q2 2026. #
