Link: Sony is raising PS5 prices, starting tomorrow

Sony is raising the price of all PlayStation 5 models by $50 in the US due to the challenging economic environment and tariffs from the Trump administration.

The price adjustments will take effect on Thursday, setting the new PlayStation 5 at $549.99, the Digital Edition at $499.99, and the Pro model at $749.99.

While the console prices are increasing, Sony has confirmed that the prices for PlayStation 5 accessories will not change.

Previously, Sony had increased the price of PS5 hardware in other regions including the UK, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.

Competitors like Microsoft and Nintendo have also raised their prices. Microsoft adjusted Xbox Series X prices to $549.99 and Nintendo increased prices for the original Switch and its accessories.
