Link: Sony announces its first turntables in years

Sony is launching two new turntables, the PS-LX3BT priced at $399.99 and the PS-LX5BT at $499.99, marking their first releases since 2019.

Both models feature one-button automatic playback, a transparent dust cover, and a built-in EQ switch for easy audio customization.

The turntables offer high-resolution Bluetooth audio and a USB output for digital vinyl conversion, catering to modern audiophiles.

While the LX3BT includes a hardwired silver aluminum platter, the higher-end LX5BT offers detachable RCA cables and a black aluminum platter to minimize vibration.

The announcement coincides with news of Sony exploring a joint venture with TCL, which could significantly alter its home entertainment division.

The PS-LX3BT is available for preorder with a launch set for February, and the PS-LX5BT will follow in April. #
