Link: Ooni’s newest pizza oven adds AI to your slice
Ooni's new Volt 2 pizza oven introduces "Pizza Intelligence," a feature that optimizes cooking by adjusting heating elements based on sensor data. This system aims to reduce temperature fluctuations and cold spots, promising an even bake.
Despite the advanced technology, the name "Pizza Intelligence" might seem more exciting than the functionality itself. Nevertheless, it's a significant upgrade for indoor pizza ovens, which are often criticized for being too smoky for indoor use.
The Volt 2 is compact enough to fit on a countertop and can cook pizzas up to 13 inches in diameter. It reaches a maximum temperature of 850 Fahrenheit (450 Celsius), ideal for making Neapolitan pizza in about 90 seconds.
Besides a preset for Neapolitan, it includes settings for New York and deep-pan styles, adjusting temperature and crisping intensity accordingly. Users can also program custom presets to suit personal preferences.
Set to hit the market on October 1st, the Volt 2 will be available at a cost of $699. Additional details about pricing and features were recently updated.
