Link: LinkedIn takes on hiring scams with recruiter verification

LinkedIn is implementing a verification process for users with recruitment-related job titles to combat recruitment scams. Executives will also need to verify their roles, and this rule extends to newly updated company page verifications.

Individuals updating their job titles to positions like "Recruiter" or "Talent Acquisition Specialist" must undergo verification, while current recruiters will not need immediate verification.

Verification is free and can be confirmed through a company email address.

Oscar Rodriguez, LinkedIn's vice-president of trust, mentioned that this measure aims to help job seekers distinguish legitimate recruiters from scammers.

Additionally, LinkedIn has broadened the scope of verification, allowing companies with premium subscriptions to display a verified badge on their pages.

Since its initiation in 2023, over 80 million users have completed LinkedIn's verification process.
