Link: Legion Go 2 official: Lenovo’s new flagship handheld costs $1,099 — and up
Lenovo has unveiled the Legion Go 2, a successor to its polarizing handheld gaming PC that is set to surpass its predecessor in many ways. The new model is slightly bigger and heavier, and it carries a higher price tag, starting at $1,099, which is $400 more than the original.
The Legion Go 2 comes equipped with enhanced features such as detachable wireless controllers, a built-in kickstand, and an integrated optical mouse. The device, arriving in October, promises to be the ultimate portable PC.
Significant improvements include 50% more battery life and an impressive 8.8-inch OLED screen with a variable refresh rate ranging from 30 to 144Hz. The screen’s improvements are especially notable with its superior color quality and smoother performance at lower frame rates.
Internally, the Legion Go 2 boasts AMD’s Ryzen Z2 chips, with options for increased memory up to 32GB and expanded storage capacities of up to 2TB. Additionally, all higher-end models come with a fingerprint reader for added security.
Lenovo has also upgraded the usability of the device’s controllers by designing them with better ergonomics and durability. Users who own the original model can purchase these new controllers separately, thanks to their compatible mounting system.
The Legion Go 2 is positioned as a premium offering in the realm of handheld gaming PCs, challenging other high-priced competitors while providing an option for users inclined towards the best possible Windows handheld experience. As gaming PC prices trend upwards, consumers are keenly watching the evolving market dynamics. #
