Link: iPhones are on the menu for Amazon drone delivery

The Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) has approved Amazon’s Prime Air drones to deliver products, including those with lithium ion batteries, like iPhones and AirPods.

These deliveries, promising arrival within an hour, are currently limited to certain areas in Arizona and Texas.

Amazon has optimized its drone delivery process by providing specific delivery times and removing the need for customers to interact with QR codes outdoors.

Customers pick a delivery spot via an aerial photo of their residence, which is then used for all future deliveries unless changed.

The drones, employing Amazon's latest MK30 model, can deliver packages up to 5 pounds and operate even in light rain.

This advancement is part of Amazon's broader strategy to enhance drone delivery capabilities, a project in development for over a decade. #
