Link: Google made it easier to edit your Drive videos
Google has introduced a new feature for Workspace users that allows them to easily edit videos in Google Vids directly from Drive. A convenient "Open" button now appears while previewing a video file, enabling quick access to editing tools.
This update simplifies video editing by eliminating the need to manually launch Google Vids. Users can now trim clips, add text, or insert music directly through the Drive interface.
The feature is enabled by default but can be disabled by Workspace organization admins. It began rolling out on August 21st and will be fully available in over two weeks.
Google continues to enhance its Drive experience, having previously introduced an improved video player and the Gemini AI, which summarizes videos. These updates significantly enhance user productivity and content management.
