Link: Deezer opens its AI music detection tool to other platforms
Deezer's AI song-detecting tool, launched last year, has identified over 13.4 million AI-generated tracks in 2025 alone. The tool helps protect real artists by preventing royalty theft from mass-produced AI music.
The service announced that it is now selling this technology to other companies, aiming to expand the use of its AI detection capabilities.
Deezer's tool boasts a 99.8 percent accuracy rate in detecting AI-generated songs. Daily, the platform receives 60,000 AI track uploads, making up 39 percent of total uploads.
According to Deezer, a significant portion of these AI-generated tracks (85 percent) are involved in fraudulent streaming activities. In response, Deezer has implemented measures to demonetize these tracks to ensure genuine artists receive their due royalties.
Other music platforms are also adapting to the challenges posed by AI music. For instance, Spotify is updating its policies to include AI music disclosure, while Bandcamp opts for a total ban on AI-generated content.
With the rise of AI music, these platforms are taking significant steps to maintain transparency and uphold artists' rights. #
