Link: Belkin’s new HDMI adapter wirelessly connects to screens over 130 feet away
Belkin has unveiled a new wireless display adapter, ConnectAir Wireless HDMI Display Adapter, which allows streaming without Wi-Fi.
This device consists of a USB-C transmitter for laptops, tablets, and smartphones, and an HDMI receiver that plugs into displays. It streams 1080P/60Hz video wirelessly, facilitating seamless presentations and media playback.
The adapter does not demand specialized drivers or compatible apps, making it highly versatile for users. It is distinguished by its ability to bypass conventional streaming restrictions like Apple AirPlay or Google Cast.
Remarkably, this gadget supports a 5GHz wireless connection and enables connecting up to eight transmitters to a single receiver. These features simplify switching between different media sources without continuous physical adjustments.
Although it can transmit through walls, the range and reliability may be influenced by the wall's material or thickness. It is designed to work effectively up to 131 feet.
The ConnectAir adapter will go on sale in select markets starting the first quarter of 2026, priced at $149.99. It aims to enhance connectivity and mobility for various presentation and home entertainment setups. #
