Link: All these smart glasses and nothing to do
I'm overwhelmed by the variety of smart glasses I own, from models by Even Realities to Rokid, and more. Despite their advanced features and style, distinguishing them from one another proves challenging.
The promises of life-changing artificial intelligence on these devices have yet to be fulfilled. If smart glasses are to become essential, they will need a compelling reason to be worn all day.
Every model, regardless of brand, makes me feel like a secret agent with their hidden features and unobtrusive design. They allow me to discreetly listen to audiobooks, see texts, and navigate without ever touching my phone.
However, features like camera and gesture controls sometimes raise privacy concerns in public spaces. This has made me cautious about where and how I use these glasses, especially after facing backlash about privacy invasions.
Yet, I remain somewhat optimistic about the future of smart glasses. The current models are the best yet, offering glimpses of potential utility despite failing to justify their everyday necessity.
Ultimately, the challenge remains not just in improving the technology but in making them adaptable to everyone's daily life. For smart glasses to truly succeed, they must be as versatile and personalizable as smartphones.
